Stocks and Taylor maintains a rigorous and proactive Safety Program for construction projects, updated annually, which increases employee awareness and minimizes occurrences of serious injury, resulting in an exceptionally low Worker’s Compensation insurance multiplier for many years. Our experience modifier rating (EMR) is below the industry average. This is the result of an aggressive safety program.
Much of the success with our safety record is attributable to the high level of safety training afforded to our employees.
Our General Superintendent requires that each Superintendent complete a weekly job safety inspection and forward the written results, with corrections, to the Project Manager. This ensures that all levels of management are kept abreast of the “state of the job.”
At the highest level of management, the Stocks and Taylor Safety Committee meets monthly to set policy, review inspection reports and to ensure all employee training is up to date.
